Usually when I get even a little bit busy the first thing to go is my writing/blogging. Actually, maybe cleaning is actually the first thing to go. I just get so tired. But for some reason I feel kind of energetic about blogging again (oddly enough I’m not equally energetic about cleaning. Weird.) With that said, here I am with some pics of the new house that needs so much work it’s hilarious and the cute little baby that needs so much mommy attention that it’s not hilarious. (Perhaps the trials of that situation are for another post) I thought maybe the progress on the house and some stories about moving back into my parents house after ten years away would make for a fun read along the way. By the way, TEN year?? Um, when did I get so old?
We bought this house for a steal and are now redoing the whole thing (obviously). It's the house that Lance crackers started in! Isn't that cool? They literally started baking the crackers or the peanuts or something in this kitchen. The house is on an acre of land so the kids can grow up with a giant backyard to play in. And I can have chickens so I can have fresh eggs every morning. I'm not kidding about that.

And here is one of the cutest little sun bather on the planet

How cool that you are going to be living in a house with some history. That baby girl is so sweet faced!
gah she is adorable!!! i love her swwet face! and bring on the remodeling girl :) can't wait to ssee what you do with this place!
From one who has bought a home like this before- and had a toddler running around- you can do it. Our first house was a foreclosure that smelled like warm wet cats. Not a good combination. But, knock down some walls, re-do all flooring, rewire the house, fill many dumpsters, and BAM- we had a great house. Hang in there. Don't kill each other in the process:)
Oh, and this is Deb- not Jason writing:)
I have never seen pics of the house! Very cool!
Dearest Kalle,
You will make this house your own and it will be a true adventure. Speaking from experience, and 10 years of remodelling, it will be worth it! And you are making memories along the way! Your kids are so adorable, can't wait to see them again :-)
Your home is not just the 4 walls - it's the life and living that goes on there, those that you love, all the memories that you'll make there. The saying goes, "life is precious - handle with prayer." or something like that...in all of the craziness that happens, it's that stabilizing power that makes all the difference. Love you all!
My friend Jay Mink and his wife Ashley just converted their kids playhouse into a chicken coop. He showed us the whole thing when we were over there a few weeks ago. Pretty cool! They can give you tips if you need them (as can the Zions).
oh my gosh, loah you are so cute and chubby!
